Making participation convenient

Micro-participation is a concept that’s all about making it easy for people to get involved in government and democratic processes.

In Ohio University professor Jennifer Cowley‘s words, it’s all about “participation at the convenience of participants”.

This site is part of a project by Kind of Digital to draw together resources, examples, ideas and discussions about micro-participation and maybe start up some new initiatives.

We’re adding examples of micro-participation to the site, which you are free to browse, and please submit an example if you know of one!

Alternatively, if you have a great idea for a new form of micro-participation, and maybe need some help getting it going, then let people know about it!

In the meantime, check out coverage of the subject on DavePress and GovLoop.

Oh, but before you go, please do subscribe to updates via either RSS or email. Thanks!
